Course Description
The programme will offer the opportunity to engage with a range of Vocational experiences. These may include:
- Construction
- Horticulture
- Community Based Projects
- Other Work Placements
The skills you will develop on the Foundation Vocational Learning Programme will include:
- Numeracy
- Literacy
- Employability
- Interpersonal / Working with others
- Team Building
The programme aims to prepare each individual for progression into Post 16 education and beyond this the adult world of work.
Assessment Format
Assessment will follow City and Guilds and National Open College Network guidelines. In main this is practical and coursework assessment based. This will be supported by on-going assessment of functionality development in Numeracy, Literacy and employability.
Possible Progression (including careers and further education)
Progression to the full range of Level 1 / 2 College programmes will be supported by this programme. Specific progression routes are determined by the combination of experiences learners undertake e.g. specific work placements and construction / horticulture qualifications.
